The Tans - 11th November 2023
In the world of workplace connections, The Tans love story began with a chance encounter during office hours. After a few months of shared projects and subtle flirtations, Chelsea and Sabiq found themselves contemplating an ingenious plan. Chelsea, a seasoned soccer player, and Sabiq, a sports enthusiast nursing a slightly delicate ankle, often bantered about forming a social work soccer team for the local summer 9-a-side competition with their colleagues.
When the time arrived for team nominations, Chelsea seized the opportunity and reached out to Sabiq on Facebook during their off-duty hours. Little did they know that this initial message would spark a continuous stream of conversations that transcended the boundaries of work and eventually evolved into late-night virtual hangouts, like synchronizing the start of a TV show from the comfort of their own homes—a precursor to social distance hangouts, predating the trend.
Despite some initial reservations about dating a co-worker, Sabiq finally agreed, and their first date unfolded like a fairy tale. They opted to keep their budding romance under wraps for the initial months, relishing the secret shared between them. The thrill of revealing their relationship to their mutual work friends and bosses added an extra layer of excitement. Fast forward, and here they are, creating their own history together. As a delightful bonus, the social soccer team they whimsically dreamt up during their early days is now flourishing, standing strong after four successful seasons. Love and soccer truly make an unbeatable team!
Nestled in the picturesque Australian countryside, Poachers Pantry served as an enchanting backdrop for a truly unique and unforgettable wedding for the Tans. Surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, this rustic yet refined venue captures the essence of romance and charm. With its blend of rustic beauty and gourmet delights, their wedding at Poachers Pantry boasted a celebration of love but also an immersive experience in the heart of Australia's captivating countryside.
On the loveliest spring day, full of beautiful blooms, the Tans had a picture-perfect day. With her ‘something blue’ heels, Chelsea walked down through the rose arbour on the Homestead Lawn, towards the magnificent Golden Elm tree where the ceremony took place, and the couple exchanged their vows. Just like the iconic scene in Love Actually, Sabiq held up speech cards for Chelsea to read off – a gesture I absolutely loved. Peony n’ Pearl’s bouquets were stunning and captured the rustic and romance theme of the day. The reception was filled with love and laughter and the newlyweds were sent off with sparklers as their loved ones lined the path.
"Lea. Is. Amazing! We knew we had picked the right photographer before she had even snapped a photo! Lea went out of her way to meet us in person before our wedding and get to know us. Because of this, it felt like we had a friend with us on the day. The photos were spectacular! The 'sneak peek' we received the day after the wedding was breath-taking and we received so many! The full album arrived only a month later, and it was full of SO many amazing photos. I honestly cannot pick which ones to print. I highly recommend booking Lea for your wedding or special events. I will definitely be coming back to Lea for future events!”"
